Transfers to the Regions for the management of hydro-meteorological and rainfall networks

Article 2, paragraph 1-septies, of Decree-Law No. 74 of May 12, 2014, converted into Law No. 93 of June 26, 2014, allocated approximately 6 million euros for 2014—drawn from the National Civil Protection Fund—to ensure the management, maintenance, and development of ground-based hydro-meteorological monitoring networks and the network of weather radars used by the decentralized operational centers operating within the national warning system.

The Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers dated May 13, 2015, published in the Official Gazette on August 13, 2015, established the criteria and procedures for allocating the state contribution to the Regions. The funds are allocated in proportion to the number, as of December 31, 2013, of radar stations and installations whose data are continuously transmitted to the Civil Protection Department. The details of the allocation of funds to individual regions—totaling €5,989,350 for the 2014 fiscal year—are contained in the annex to the Prime Ministerial Decree.

In this section, we publish the transfers to the regions made since the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of May 13, 2015, came into force.
