Covid-19 emergency, the composition of the Technical Scientific Committee is online
Published the Ordinance of the Head of the Civil Protection Department n.663 of April 18, 2020
Ordinance no. 663 of April 18, 2020 has been published in the section Legal Measures on Coronavirus of the Department's website, by which the composition of the Technical-Scientific Committee has been redefined. The Committee consists of experts and qualified representatives of State Authorities and Administrations supporting the Head of the Civil Protection Department in the activities aimed at overcoming the epidemiological emergency of Covid-19.
The Committee's composition, as from its establishment with the decree of February 5, 2020, has been amended several times to include experts to address specific needs, taking into account the critical situation and to give continuity to emergency activities, also in the perspective of a gradual recovery of social, economic and productive activities.
The Scientific Technical Committee is composed of
- Agostino Miozzo, Coordinator of the Office for Promotion and Integration of the National Civil Protection Service of the Civil Protection Department - with the role of coordinator of the Committee;
- Silvio Brusaferro, President of the Instituto Superiore di Sanità (Italian National Institute of Health);
- Claudio D'Amario, Director General of Health Prevention of the Ministry of Health;
- Mauro Dionisio, Director of the Coordination Office of the Maritime-Air and Border Health Offices of the Ministry of Health;
- Achille Iachino, Director General of Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Service of the Ministry of Health;
- Sergio Iavicoli, Director of the Department of Medicine, Epidemiology, Occupational and Environmental Hygiene of INAIL (National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work);
- Giuseppe Ippolito, Scientific Director of the National Institute for Infectious Diseases "Lazzaro Spallanzani";
- Franco Locatelli, President of the Superior Health Council of the Ministry of Health;
- Nicola Magrini, Director General of the Italian Medicines Agency;
- Giuseppe Ruocco, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health;
- Nicola Sebastiani, Inspector General of Military Health of the Ministry of Defence;
- Andrea Urbani, Director General of Health Planning of the Ministry of Health;
- Alberto Zoli, representative of the Health Commission appointed by the President of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
The Committee is made up of following experts:
- Massimo Antonelli, Director of the Department of Emergencies, Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation of the University Hospital "A. Gemelli";
- Roberto Bernabei, Director of the Department of Aging, Neurological, Orthopaedic and Head and Neck Sciences of the "A. Gemelli" University Hospital;
- Fabio Ciciliano, Medical Director of the State Police, expert in disaster medicine - with secretarial duties for the Committee;
- Ranieri Guerra, representative of the World Health Organization;
- Francesco Maraglino, Director of the Office for the prevention of conent of the Italian Society of Pneumology;
- Alberto Villani, President of the Italian Society of Pediatrics.
