Covid-19, Egypt's support to Italy
It's the second Egyptian government aid since the start of the emergency
Face masks, coverall and chemical sanitary materials produced in Egypt. as a sign of solidarity and friendship. This is the message of the Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Hisham Badr, for the gratitude expressed by the Italian Government at the arrival of the cargo with medical devices from Egypt on April 4th.
The Egyptian Health Minister, Hala Zayed, was also present when the medical aid arrived in Italy from Egypt on two military cargoes. Zayed highlighted that the supply is part of the framework of support and solidarity to friendly countries.
«Our act is also a message to Italy, to overcome this difficult moment as soon as possible. We are confident in the ability of the Italian people and government to defeat this crisis and return to normal life soon.» underlined Hala Zayed.
The Egyptian help of these days has been possible thanks to a diplomatic action carried out by the Italian Embassy in Cairo. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio attending the arrival of the aircraft thanked Egypt and stressed the importance of international solidarity in the management of the current emergency.
