Ukrainian emergency: a tensile structure has been set up for Čop
The structure will be used as a first reception center for the population fleeing the war
A tensile structure of 3200 square meters donated to Veneto by Qatar during the early stages of the Coronavirus emergency has been sent to Ukraine and will serve as a first reception center for people fleeing the war. The shipment has been coordinated by the Civil Protection Department following a request of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The convoy left today, March 29, from the headquarters of the National Alpine Association in Campiglia dei Berici (VI) and with destination Čop, at the Slovak and Hungarian border. It will arrive on Thursday, March 31. A representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR will receive the convoy at the border crossing and will drive people and vehicles to the warehouse for the delivery.
