North Macedonia nightclub fire: four injured receiving assistance in Italy
The victims will be welcomed in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany

Following a support request received by the Emergency Response Coordination Center in Brussels from the Macedonian authorities, the Italian government, through its Civil Protection Department and under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism – UCPM, quickly arranged for the dispatch of an aircraft. This aircraft was sent to transport four patients injured in a nightclub fire that took place in the Macedonian town of Kočani between March 14 and 15.
An Air Force C-130 took off from Pisa, carrying a team from CROSS – Remote Centre for Health Rescue Operations. The aircraft is scheduled to return to Italy in the evening, where the injured patients will be transferred to various hospitals in Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, and Tuscany for further specialized treatment.
The transfer of patients via MEDEVAC – Medical Evacuation was successfully arranged through the valuable cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Embassy in Skopje, and the Joint Operations Headquarters – COVI.
