Coronavirus: number of positive cases 1577

At the Italian Civil Protection Department Headquarters the Operational Committee is working relentlessly to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service. 

As per all health monitoring activities pertaining to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory, the latest update reports 1577 positive cases.

To date,in Italy 1694 people have been infected by the virus. In detail: the  positive  Coronavirus cases in Lombardy amount to 984, 285  in Emilia-Romagna, 263 in Veneto, 25 in Liguria, 49 in Piedmont, 13 in Tuscany, 25 in the Marche, 9 in Sicily, 17 in Campania, 6 in Lazio, 3 in Puglia, 5 in Abruzzo, 1 in Calabria and 1 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano. The number of hospitalized patients presenting symptoms is 639 of which  140 are in Intensive Care Units, and  798 are in home isolation. 83 patients have recovered from the illness. 34 dead , but this data can only be  confirmed  upon certification of their cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
