Stromboli, the alert level of the volcano turns yellow
The monitoring of the Civil Protection Department for the volcano continues in collaboration with the Competence Centers
The monitoring of volcanic activity on Stromboli by the Civil Protection Department in collaboration with the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv) of Catania, Naples and Palermo and the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Florence, remains constant.
According to phenomena and risk assessments provided by the Competence Centers, highlighting the lowering of the parameters on average values, the alert level of Stromboli becomes yellow. It was raised to yellow after the landslide of the outer sector of one of the cones of the crater area North on May 19.
