The new version of the Civil Protection Department's Radar Platform has been available since January 12. This update enhances performance, enabling improved data utilization and making it easier for professionals in the weather forecasting sector to use. Notably, the platform has been optimized for mobile devices, significantly enhancing the user experience for those accessing it through mobile applications.

The essential functions of the system remain unchanged: both current and past weather phenomena are displayed on a national scale through the real-time processing of raw data from a national radar network, rain and temperature stations, satellite data, and a lightning detection network. Unlike before, the new ‘history’ mode now allows users to view past data not just for the previous 24 hours but also offers the option to go back as far as 14 days.

The new platform includes a feature that allows users to view measured values, such as the amount of rainfall in millimeters or temperature data related to the selected product.

We would like to remind users that the recent update to the platform has resulted in changes to the API services available for data distribution. Therefore, we recommend consulting the technical documentation provided at this link and beginning to adapt your systems as soon as possible.
