The event, addressed to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism members, will take place on June 7th and 9th
To support the EU civil protection mechanism and to strengthen and improve the technical and operational capacities for the protection of cultural heritage in the event of disaster at local; national and European level. The PROCULTHER Project "Protecting Cultural Heritage from the Consequences of Disasters" focuses on these key objectives. As such, the international workshop "Defining European Technical and Operational Capacities for the Protection of Cultural Heritage at Risk of Disaster" will take place on June 7-9, 2021.
The workshop is addressed to the members of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism and is open to all interested countries, international organizations and actors involved in the development of the document "Key elements of a European methodology to address the protection of cultural heritage during emergencies", produced by project partners.
The document aims to offer insights for the integration of issues related to the protection of cultural heritage in emergencies in all phases of risk management in order to define a common language, rules, procedures and operating standards at European level.
