Italian research in seismic engineering and the activities of ReLUIS 40 years after the Campania-Lucan earthquake is the topic of the webinar that will be held on Monday 23 November, from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

The event is organised by ReLUIS and the Civil Protection Department, in collaboration with the Inarcassa Foundation.

The Minister of University and Research, Gaetano Manfredi, the President of the Superior Council of Public Works, Massimo Sessa and the President of the Inarcassa Foundation, Franco Fietta, will open the event.

After introductions by Mauro Dolce of the Civil Protection Department and Edoardo Cosenza di Reluis, about the relationship between civil protection and the scientific community and the progress and prospects of seismic and structural engineering, the most topical research topics of seismic engineering will be addressed.

Topics will include risk mapping, seismic improvement measures, the reduction of energy consumption, seismic geotechnical issues, research for the progress of technical standards and the monitoring and use of satellite data.
