Support activities for the population in Ischia continue after the landslide occurred on the island on November 26.

There are more than 400 people housed in hotel facilities and about 600 people housed in autonomous accommodation after the implementation of the plan by which, on the afternoon of December 2, the temporary removal of residents in the red zone of Casamicciola was ordered.

Over the next few days, technical and fire department on-site inspections will verify the viability of homes not immediately damaged by the landslide and ensure the safe return of citizens.

A search for the last missing person continues in these hours by the Fire Department teams.

Giovanni Legnini-appointed Commissioner Delegate with Ordinance No. 948 of the Head of the Civil Protection Department-issued yesterday the first ordinance designating the Implementing Parties to ensure assistance activities for the population, restoration of the road system, and waste management service.

To ensure further interventions for the population, a Decree Law was issued yesterday, which provides for the suspension, until June 30, 2023, of tax and social security tax obligations and payments for residents on the island of Ischia.
