Incidente Crans-Montana

The Civil Protection Department’s Crisis Unit continues its work following the fire that broke out at a club in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, on New Year’s Eve, which resulted in multiple casualties and injuries, including several Italian nationals.

The Department is currently working to ensure inter-institutional coordination and implement measures to support the Swiss authorities, Italian citizens involved, and their families, who are also provided with psychological support.

At present, eleven Italian citizens remain seriously injured following the fire at the club.

The Italian nationals involved, transferred through the Remote Centre for Health Rescue Operations (CROSS), are being assisted through the efforts of the Civil Protection Department, which is coordinating a technical support team from the Piedmont Region, as well as a healthcare team from the Lombardy Region with expertise in treating severe burn injuries.

The Department’s coordination activities will continue in the coming hours, in accordance with a schedule to be shared with the Swiss health authorities.
