Coronavirus emergency, the United Arab Emirates aid to Italy
The donation of sanitary material arrived in Fiumicino during the night of April 5-6
The United Arab Emirates are one of the countries that is sending aid. All the donations coming to Italy supplement the purchases of medical equipment that the Civil Protection is carrying out.
The gratitude expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio during the landing operations at Fiumicino airport on the night between April 5 and 6 for the masks, overalls and ventilators that the UAE donated to the Italian Government to fight the Coronavirus.
The great solidarity that many countries in the world are showing is a sign that Italy has been always at the disposal of all those in need, said Minister Di Maio.
The UAE Ambassador to Italy said that his country's assistance is aimed at helping Italian medical personnel to safely carry out their work in the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 and that his Country's support goes to Italy and all the countries affected by the Covid-19.
Dr. Agostino Miozzo from the Civil Protection Department pointed out that the donated material will be immediately distributed through the Regions to health facilities on the national territory.
