Coronavirus emergency: new Prime Ministerial Decree suspended additional categories of services and commercial activities

Attached to the Decree there is a list of activities for retail and personal services open to the public

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giuseppe Conte, signed a new Decree setting out additional measures for the containment and management of the epidemiological emergency of Coronavirus on the whole national territory.

In order to counter and contain the spread of the virus, the measure provides for the suspension of further categories of services and commercial activities, apart from those involving the sale of food and basic needs, newsstands, tobacconists, pharmacies and parapharmacies. In any case, the interpersonal safety distance of one meter (three feet) must be guaranteed.

In compliance with health and hygiene standards, banking, financial and insurance services, as well as the activities of the agricultural and zootechnical sectors, including the supply chains providing goods and services, remain ensured.

For productive and professional activities requiring the continuation of their activities, the decree provides further recommendations.

Finally, the decree also contains new guidelines for public administrations and public transport.
