With the aim of bringing more young people to the professional and human reality of the National Service, the Civil Protection Department participated today in the Career Day for Social Impact organized in Rome by the Luiss Guido Carli University.

The event, which for eleven years has offered university students an overview of the professional experiences available in the national and international contexts, focused on 2021 and 2022 graduates, master's students, students in the fourth and fifth year of Law and students of the School of Government and School of Law master's programs.

The discussion with experts from the Department allowed undergraduates to deepen their knowledge of the different professions working in the world of civil protection, from technical-scientific to legal, international relations, communication and media relations to the world of volunteering.

The possibility of curricular internships at the Department's institutional offices or volunteer experience in one of the more than 5,000 civil protection associations operating throughout the country was presented.
Among the activities highlighted was also the national communication campaign on good civil protection practices I don't take risks, which for years has been the focus of various Universal Civil Service projects through which young people are involved in a path that can combine personal growth and the acquisition of professional skills.

Many institutions were present in the event: from United Nations Agencies to various Non-Governmental Organizations, from European Institutions and Agencies to International Bodies and entities engaged in various capacities for the international mobility of young people.
In addition to the Department of Civil Protection, for the National Service the Italian Red Cross, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the State Police took part in the Luiss Career Day for Social Impact, thus offering students a glimpse into the different and fundamental skills that articulate a complex and subsidiary System such as the Italian Civil Protection.
