The Civil Protection Department will participate in the Turin International Book Fair for the third consecutive year, scheduled to take place from May 15 to 19 at Lingotto Fiere. The theme chosen for the XXXVII edition of the Fair is "Words fall lightly," an invitation to reflect on the power of storytelling and reading as tools for building relationships, preserving memories, and understanding the present.

The Department's booth will be located in Pavilion 3 – Stand S22, featuring an exhibition space and a talk space.

In the exhibition space, visitors can enhance their understanding of the Italian civil protection system by exploring a timeline that highlights its history and evolution, particularly through significant emergencies that have impacted our country over the last century. Department officials and experts will be on hand to guide visitors through this narrative journey and offer additional insights or clarifications. Additionally, a selection of historical publications will be available for consultation in this space.

A section of the exhibition space will be devoted to the comic strip "The Decisive Moment," a project promoted by the Minister for Civil Protection and Sea Policies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, and implemented by the Department. Its goal is to raise awareness among students about civil protection issues.

The talk space will host discussions featuring screenwriters, journalists, science experts, and photographers, aiming to foster dialogue on civil protection topics from various viewpoints and perspectives. The program will include reflections on different languages and communication tools, such as comics as a means of education and awareness, photography as a visual record of events, and explorations of media and literature.

The Fair will be open to the public on the following days:

- May 15, May 18, and May 19 - from 10 AM to 8 PM
- May 16 and May 17 - from 10 AM to 9 PM
