Today, the Civil Protection Department attended the Career Day for Social Impact 2024, organized in Rome by Luiss Guido Carli University, in the "Aula Chiesa" of the Campus.

The event, which for 12 years now has provided an overview of potential professional opportunities in the national and international context, was open to 2023 and 2022 graduates, Law 4th and 5th-year students, and master's students from the School of Government and School of Law

The discussion with experts from the Department allowed students to learn more about the reality of the National Service and to discover what type of professional profiles are operating in the universe of civil protection, ranging from the technical-scientific to the legal and international relations fields, from communication and press to the world of volunteering.

Through the exchange and sharing of experiences, this event was once again an opportunity to promote networking and create new spaces for sharing regarding existing job opportunities, addressing the development of the right skills required for valid candidates to work in social impact realities.

The focus was bringing the younger generation closer together and involving them in direct experiences on the field. Already in past years, in fact, some of the young people attending the career day then took advantage of the opportunities presented during the event by doing internships at the Department's institutional offices or by gaining direct volunteering experience in one of the more than 5,000 civil protection associations active in Italy.

Many institutions were present, from UN Agencies to different NGOs, from European Institutions and Agencies to International organizations and entities involved in international youth mobility. In addition to the Civil Protection Department, the Italian Red Cross, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, and State Police took part on behalf of the National Service.
