“Italy's Earthquakes”. During the press conference, the Civil Protection Department presented the stopover ot the touring exhibition “Italy's Earthquakes”, set up in Pesaro at Palazzo Ducale, a piazza del Popolo. The exhibition aims at boosting the citizens' active role in seismic risk prevention, in order to understand what causes an earthquake and know which actions need to be undertaken to reduce its effects through footage, documents and tools, but also with live experience. Two vibrating tables, projected to simulate the seismic movement, will in fact allow visitors to experience safely an earthquake and observe closely its effects.

The exhibition “Italy's Earthquakes” started in 2007 to remember some meaningful events of Italy's seismic history: ten years after the Umbria and Marche quake of 26 September 1997, forty years after the earthquake of Belice of 15 January 1968 and one hundred years after the 28 December 1908 earthquake of Messina and Reggio Calabria.

Information on the previous stop-overs of the exhibition, but also on contents, on the exhibition path and on the possibility of hosting the event are described in the “Italy's Earthquakes” file.
