Ukraine Emergency: Remote Centre for Health Relief Operations (CROSS) activated for hospital assistance

The transfers of patients guaranteed through the Medevac

To support the transfer of Ukrainian citizens with special health needs in the territories of Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova, the Department of Civil Protection has activated the Remote Centre for Health Relief Operations.

The Remote Centre for Health Relief Operations activated within the framework of the European Civil Protection Mechanism and in response to the specific request of the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission (DG SANTE), the  Remote Centre for Health Relief Operations will provide, in conjunction with the regional health referents, the recognition of available beds in the Regions and Autonomous Provinces and the organization of the transfer of patients through the MEDEVAC. More than 1,300 beds are currently available in regional health facilities, including pediatric, neonatal, dialysis, oncology and burns beds.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will guarantee the flow of information with the Italian Embassies and Consulates, to facilitate the activities on the territory and the relations with the interested parties.
