Civil Protection: Maria Siclari is the new Deputy Head of Department

Maria Siclari is the new Deputy Chief of the Civil Protection Department. Former Director General of the Department for Environmental Assessment, Control and Sustainability of the Superior Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), Dr. Siclari served as Director General of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) since September 1, 2016.
"Dr. Siclari - underlines Borrelli - comes at a particularly challenging time for our structure and I am sure that her professional experience will represent a great resource for our Department. Her appointment also bears witness to the fundamental role that the Scientific Competence Centres play within the entire national Civil Protection system, especially in understanding and managing risks. Together with the new Deputy Head of Department we will continue to strengthen our potential and capabilities".
From today on, Maria Siclari will officially become a member of the Civil Protection Department with the task of supporting the Head of Department in the performance of his duties, replacing him in all his tasks and responsibilities in case of absence, vacation or impediment.
