The National Corps of Alpine and Speleological Rescue

The National Corps of Alpine and Speleological Rescue - Cnsas is the central technical body of the Italian Alpine Club - CAI, which works for the protection of human life, deals with the rescue of injured people in mountain areas, caves and inaccessible areas of the national territory and is committed to the prevention and supervision of accidents (Law March 21, 2001, n. 74).

 

Natural disasters

 

In the event of a natural disaster, Cnsas guarantees the use of means, technicians and dog units for search and rescue in an inaccessible environment.

The Corps is made up of specialized technicians working mainly along the Alpine arc and the Apennine ridge, trained according to the programs of the National Schools.
