Italian interventions in Mozambique

After the damage caused by the Idai cyclone occurred on March 20, 2019 the Mozambique Government asked the assistance of the international community.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte activated the National Service to help the affected population sending a 2nd level Advanced Medical Post, a medical team and a team from the Civil Protection Department to coordinate operations.

The mission of international assistance is carried on together with the Directorate General for Development Cooperation upon request of the European Commission.
