"I am civil protection too" school camps: 2025 edition
More than 340 camps across Italy and more than 6,000 young people involved

The goal of the "I am civil protection too" school camps organized by the Civil Protection Department in collaboration with regions and local and national volunteer organizations is to make young people aware of the active role they can play in protecting the environment, their communities, and their territory, starting with small, everyday actions.
Like every summer, the 2025 school camps will enable young girls and boys across Italy to gain experience in civil protection during a special edition marking 15 years since the project's launch.
Over time, the project has trained more than 100,000 young people, educating them about natural risks, civil protection planning and promoting best practices to foster a better understanding of the territory.
After attending school camps, many boys and girls became so passionate about these topics that they actively chose to join the world of volunteering.
The "I'm civil protection too" project targets students in primary, secondary, and junior high schools.
In the 2025 edition, over 340 school camps will take place across the country between June and September. These camps will welcome more than 6,000 young people aged 10 to 16. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with individuals involved in civil protection activities, including firefighters, the State Forestry Corps, police forces, emergency services (118), the Italian Red Cross, and representatives from municipalities and regions, as well as various other actors of the National Civil Protection Service.
School camps prioritize fun and education, offering young participants a variety of enjoyable activities and a comprehensive educational program focused on learning about the civil protection system, especially municipal emergency plans, and the local territory.
The project aims to achieve several educational objectives, including encouraging the protection of forests and natural heritage, contributing to risk prevention through the promotion of good civil protection practices, enhancing awareness of the National Service's activities, and raising awareness of emergency plans, thereby encouraging dialogue with local administrations.
