Contributions for the "Seismic microzonation addresses and criteria" updates

Seismic microzonation studies carried out in the L'Aquila area after the 6 April 2009 earthquake allowed to take steps forward in defining the guidelines (“Seismic microzonation addresses and criteria - IMCS", 2008).
The most important results of this revision and update work are summarized in the volume. The activities regarded the following areas: procedures for a geological-technical map with seismic microzonation purposes; realignment of level 1 of seismic microzonation and evaluation of a quality level; evaluation of performance standards and efficacy in different geological-techinical contexts of seismic surveys, both active and passive (Down Hole, MASW, SASW, ESAC, seismic refraction, ReMi, environmental noise); integration of standard surveys with other type of surveys (e.g. gravimetry); use of seismic microzonation of level 3 as a discriminant tool for the use of a simplified approach or specific analyses of local seismic response (NTC, 2008).
