The Department gives three means to the Misericordia of Pistoia

Following the 4 February 2011 fire in a deposit of the Misericordia of Pistoia, every means and equipment of the association got lost: advanced medical posts, jeeps, boats for possible floodings, amphibious vehicles, tractors, inflatable tents, draining pumps.

The Civil Protection Department, after a reconnaisance of its own vehicles, established to donate three of them to the confraternity, hardly hit by the fire, in order to support its activities on the territories.

The delivery cerimony should have been held on 4 February, but due to the snow emergency the Head of Department Franco Gabrielli could reach the premises of the Misericordia of Pistoia.

One Unimog (all-terrain lorry), one G class and one Land Rover were delivered today, Saturday 24 March, to the association. The Head of Department took part to the cerimony along with the Prefect of Pistoia, the mayor of the city, a representative of the Province of Pistoia, the Vice-Police Commissioner of Pistoia, the Governor of the Misericordia of Pistoia and manager of the gruop of civil protection of the Misericordia of Pistoia.
