Summer exodus: 2012 Plan has been published

Once again this year, information on the 2012 summer exodus Plan is available on the website of the State Police.The document provides a calendar of days affected by heavy traffic and possible critical issues that can affect the routes of national importance. The tool, prepared by Viabilità Italia, the National Coordination Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, is useful to help citizens throughout the summer travels.

The plan identifies the main highways and motorways at national level mostly affected by traffic with a calendar of the the most critical days and the flow of traffic. The calendar gives an indication of the days with normal traffic, intense (yellow), with possible intense critical (red) and critical (black) for this year Saturday, August 4 is the day marked with critical level.

The document provides also useful information to travelers as an indication of multi-operating presidia in some areas and health centers in service areas, alternative routes to the motorways to the North, Central and South to be used in case of critical situations and a list building sites on major highways and rural roads.
