A delegation of the Republic of Albania visited the operating premises of the Civil Protection Department
Today, 4 November, a delegation of the Republic of Albania Civil Protection visited the Italian Civil Protection premises in via Vitorchiano.
The delegation, headed by Alfred Olli and Salih Kelmandi, respectively General Director and Vice Director of the Albania Civil Emergencies Office, was composed by 17 representatives of national structures operating in fire-fighting, search of missing people and civil emergencies management.
The visit of the delegation was part of a cooperation agreement, signed by Italy and Albania last summer, aimed at strenghtening the Albanian National System for risk prevision and prevention of wood fires and floods.
In particular, the first training course for Albanian civil protection operators was held, focusing on risk prevision and prevention of wood fires and floods. The first phase of the course was a month spent at Cima Foundation - International Centre on Environmental Monitoring in Savona and, towards the end, visits to central structures at national level.
Tomorrow, 5 November, a visit to the National Corps of Fire Department in Rome is scheduled.
