2012 School camps - I am the Civil Protection too

 

A training project to diffuse a civil protection culture

Un giovane partecipante ai campi scuola 2011The training project “School camps - I am the Civil Protection too” was created with the aim of diffusing a civil protection culture among youngsters.

Approximately 100 school camps taking part in the training project "School camps - I am the Civil Protection too" will take place from late June to late August in various locations in Italy and will welcome youngsters between the ages of 10 and 15 who will be confronted with the various fields of the civil protection: Fire Department, State Forestry, Police, 118, Italian Red Cross, representatives of municipalities and regions.

The camps are organised by the Department of Civil Protection in cooperation with the National Voluntary Organisations, with the Regions and local voluntary associations, that will manage the activities in each specialised field.

Although the National Service of Civil Protection had been largely committeed in the areas hit by the quake of last May, the Department, voluntary organizations and Regions didn't want to renounce to this project of training and risk prevention

The youngsters willing to live this experience take an actual trip in the civil protection world, discovering how much the commitment of every single person is fundamental to make the entire System work. During the journey, they will be able to share ideas and procedures and learn team work.

Camp chiefs and participants can send multimedia contributions, thoughts, information request and other education documents to: campiscuoladpc_media@libero.it
Users can send pictures only in .jpg format (preferably horizontal framing, dimensions 1000x667 px, resolution 72 dpi) and videos in .flv  format (360x264, max. 20mb). A selection of multimedia contributions send - preferably with a brief description of the events or with captions, if they photos - will be published in the photo and video areas of the facebook page of the “Magazine Protezione Civile”
