Il rapporto OCSE sulla Protezione civile italiana: i risultati
The final OECD report analyses the policies, the organisational bodies, administrative reforms and operations programmes that together make up the Italian Civil Protection System.
In the foreword to the study, Michael Oborne, director of the OECD "advisory on multidisciplinary issues" unit, reminds us that "the disasters of the 21st century have put all countries face to face with new and complex challenges, and Italy appears to be determined to tackle them in the most efficient and effective way".
Italy's co-ordinated approach is assessed in all phases of the risk management cycle: risk assessment, prevention, protection, forecasting and early warning, emergency response, recovery and lessons learned.
The report also analyses and explains the features of the Italian civil protection system: natural events correlated to the geomorphic configuration of the national territory, the Italian civil protection: National Department and National Service; operating model, lessons learned and recommendations.
