AIB 2010 campaign
The 2010 campaign for fiighting wood fires started on 14 June and ended on 30 September.
As provided for by the framework law on wood fires, the President of the Council of Ministers supplied to Regions, Autonomous Provinces and Ministries the operating directions to adopt all the initiatives necessary to prevent and deal with interface and wood fires.
The Civil Protection Department, coordinator of the national air fire fighting fleet through the Coau - Joint Air Operating Centre diffused to the Regions the procedures through which the air fleet may request to concur in the fight against wood fires.
The fleet of Aib 2010 campaign is composed by means deployed in 21 bases over the whole national territoty.
