Civil Protection Department

The service provides an inventory of the Department's means and materials in order to establish operational procedures during emergencies, both nationally and internationally; it defines technical and operational standards, in conjunction with the offices responsible for the setting up of reception areas for the population.

It establishes terms, in liaison with other offices, for the supply, transport and handling of materials and resources to support institutional activities of the Civil Protection Department in order to perform the procedures for calls for tender; it handles relations with public and private subjects, for the identification of logistic facilities for the storage of goods for use in an emergency, by setting out the procedures for their activation.

It manages, in collaboration with the Regions and Autonomous Provinces and the relevant offices of the Department, the project of national mobile column of the regions by ensuring in an national emergency, their activation and the resulting operational coordination.

In case of a national emergency, the service activates logistical resources made ??available by the operating structures of the civil protection system and other public and/or individuals, to coordinate the deployment and operational links with the voluntary service in terms of resources deployed by voluntary organizations
