It manages relations with international organizations and single States regarding civil protection, and promotes the launch of negotiations to close bilateral and multilateral agreements. Moreover, tt guarantees the participation of the Department to civil protection "round tables" at european and international level, connecting involved boards and offices.

It organizes and manages the costitution of the “Task Force” of the European Mechanism, and relations with MIC - Monitoring and lnformation Centre of Bruxelles, and various activities scheduled by the decision of the European Council of  23 October 2001.

It promotes, along with the Department's offices, emergency and humanitarian interventions abroad. It coordinates the planning and participates to the organizations of international simulation drills and verifies the results.
