The Service defines the operating procedures to improve the exchange of information between the parties the infrastructure of national mobility and the activation of the same procedures in emergency situations of national character. It also defines the operating procedures to improve the exchange of information between managers of essential services in the national interest, including operators of fixed and mobile telephony, and the activation of the same procedures in emergency situations at national level.

In the case of a national emergency, the service coordinates the activities of national mobility infrastructure and essential services administrators, including fixed and mobile telephony operators in relation to the continuity and restoration of their services. Finally, it guarantees the Department participation and action in the National road system coordination centre, set up under the Ministry of the Interior.
