The Service carries out inspections and technical advice following declarations of a state of emergency, by making an initial damage assessment and examines the requirements for the implementation of interventions.
Its activities include monitoring and control on works and projects not related to the prevention of seismic risk or post-emergency phase, governed by orders issued under Law No 24 February 1992 225 and carries out technical procedures of preliminary investigation and suggest opinions on audit reports. Finally, under it deals with the staff management of the Civil Protection Department as provided for by the legislative decree n.163 12 April 2006
