The Head of Department provides the address, coordination and monitoring of the activities of the Civil Protection Department.

The following functions report directly to the Head of the Department:

• Vice Head of Department;
• the Legal Advisor, in which the service of the Litigation operates;
• the Head of Department's press office;
• the Head of the Department's secretariat, which is hinged in the core OS that has the function to monitor and verify efforts of the structures commissarial established art. 1, Section 8 of Law No 21, 2006;
• Service Major Events;
• Institutional Relations Office
• one manager of first category with tasks of consultancy, study and research.
