School camps 2011- I am the civil protection too
The training project called “School camps - I am the civil protection too” was born with the objective of spreading the civil protection culture among young people.
School camps, created during summer months in various Italian places, welcome each year youngsters aged 9 to 18 to confront themselves with those who carry out civil protection activities: Fire Department, the National Forest Corps, Police, 118, Italian Red Cross, reprensentatives of Municipialites, Prefectures and Regions and many more actors of the National Civil Protection System.
The school camps have been created with the contribution of National voluntaty work organizations, which have a leading role in the direct management of each camp activities.
Youngsters that decide to embark on this experience will travel in the civil protection world, discovering that the committment of each single person is essential to make the System work. During the camp, they will also share ideas and procedures and learn to feel like an active part of a team, sharing a growth path.
The aim of the project is to stimulate young people to have a sense of responsibily and be active citizens through the sharing of civil protection good practices.
